The Pandemic

Its claws leave no continents untouched

It's call makes the population affected feel crushed

Multitudes are affected

Hordes are demoralised

And many meet their ultimate fate

As their condition aggravates

Segregation and social distancing is most desired

As through contact it is acquired

Preventive measures decrease the disease load

So the population should follow religiously this code

This will help the doctors to attend to all those affected

Giving medical and psychological support to all the cases detected

At times the situation goes out of control

Then enormous becomes the death toll

Prayers then become the only source

To put a halt to the pandemic's course
