Spiritual Ecstasy

Do we need to

Deceive our emotions

And our desires

By not letting them out

Do we need to

Subdue our expressions

For it is through their descent

That our face shines

By letting our feelings 

Revel in our body

And echo the songs of our soul

We need to continue performing the exercise 

Of humility, of love and of compassion 

Swimming dauntlessly in our activity bowl

For it's only by having control

On the reins our senses

And mastering these meditative asanas

That we can traverse the expanse 

And survive blithely

In these perplexing worldly savannas

In the process discovering

Our own truth, our own solitude  

And the truth of vagueness that surrounds

Dancing in tandem

With detached attachment to life's fantasies

Aligning with our soul where ecstasy knows no bounds
